Youtube crazy!

I have gone a little mad recently. I am obsessed with searching for old clips of couples that I liked on soap operas on youtube!! It all started innocently enough, Trav and I were talking about how we missed that awful, entertaining and enjoyable soap Sunset Beach, so I thought I would look up scenes of my favorite couple from that show Ben & Meg, and that is when I fell down the rabbit hole. How could I forget Terror Island and the interdiction of Derek Ben’s evil twin! Or Ben’s “dead” wife Maria showing up at his and Meg’s wedding. Or how he hilariously pronounced Maria’s name Marier. I spent an excessive amount of time searching for clip of Ben and Meg, then I thought “wait a minute there were more couples I liked on different shows!”

Then I started looking for vintage Harley and Mallet on Guiding Light, oh god how I loved (no I still love him) Mark Derwin! Who could forget the time that Harley was locking in a root cellar and almost froze to death but Mallet wouldn’t give up the search and finally found her. Of course he had to take there clothes off so that he could use his body heat to warm her up this leading to them making love for the first time. I actually remember watching and rewatching the tape of that when it was originally on! I was sad that I couldn’t actually find that much stuff on these two.

Whoa what about Roman/John & Isabella on Days of our lives! Next up was Cruise of Deception, who could forget this crazy miniseries!?!? I only got to watch a couple of clips of this before I made myself turn off the computer and go to bed because it was 1:45am and I had to get up for work in 4 hours. I did get to see Roman/John running around covered in torn formal wear and covered in soot (why is he covered in soot sure there was a bomb on the boot, but hello you were thrown in to the ocean before you washed ashore I think it would have come off!) with a Rambo like headband!!

I am so ready to continue the search tonight! I have thought of more couples, Max & Luna on One life to live, Brenda & Sonny on General Hospital!!!

More sleep please!!!

Tired, Tired, Tired!! I need to not stay out until 1am when I have to get up at 5:45am to get ready for work!! I’m not sure any amount of caffeine will help this morning. The only thing that I think is going to help is that later today I will be out in the sunshine kayaking with friends!

Dollhouse

I'm sad that Dollhouse will most likely not be picked up for a season 2. The last 5 or so episodes, especially the last 2 were fantastic!! If only it had this awesome of a start!

Star Trek ROCKED!!

We went and saw Star Trek last night and it was GREAT! What a fun movie! Everyone enjoyed it, even my mom who was a fan of the original, I didn't like the original I am a TNG girl myself. I loved the movie and would totally see it again. I did wonder if JJ Abrams watched a lot of Joss Whedons amazing series "Firefly", Star Trek had some of the same feel; filming through thing, shooting at odd angels and lens flares, but JJ did get a little to flare happy, but all in all outstanding movie!!

Carmel's Birthday

Tonight was Carmel's birthday and to celebrate we all went out to eat Hot Pot (my first time). It was fun and tasty, who doesn't like to cook their own food at their table on a cook stove!?! One side is regular broth and the other side was a insanely hot broth, needless to say I didn't eat that one.
Next it was on to Snoqualmie Casino for the Lea Salonga concert. The only thing I knew about Lea was that she was the voice of Jasmine in Aladdin and that was only because Carmel had told me that. I didn't know what to expect from the show. I was pleasantly surprised by what a great show it was. Lea has a great voice, it was like I was on Broadway, which is good because she did sing songs from the different Broadway shows she has sung in.

Jenny, Carmel and Carla then waited in a straight line for Lea to sign their pictures.

They even got to take a picture with Lea.
