I get one or two calls a month for this dead beat! I love all the debt collection calls I get for her, the lovely slightly angry people on my voicemail. Voicemail that says "Hi you've reached Shannon, I can't get to my phone, I'll call you back." I think I might have to change it to "Hi you've reached Shannon, NOT Sheri Hernandez, if you have a message for Shannon please leave it if you are looking to collect money from Sheri Hernandez THIS IS NOT HER NUMBER AND I DON'T KNOW WHO SHE IS!!!! Please remove this number from your records because it is incorrect!!

Suckatude!

Man the last two days have been kind of crappy!

1. I’m starting to get a cold
2. I have been trying to exchange a M.A.C eye shadow for a couple of week, the first time I tried at Nordstrom, they can’t return thing bought a M.A.C store. Yesterday I went to a M.A.C store and damn it the receipt wasn’t in the bag and they can’t exchange it without it!
3. I looked though the garbage for the receipt, didn’t find it!!!
4. I haven’t been able to connect to my stolen internet since Sunday.
5. My DVD player is acting up. It sometimes shows this weird error message, I had to googled it on my cell phone, because my aforementioned internet problem. The one bright point was that I fixed it!
6. People are stupid and I don’t want to talk to them or fix their problems, cuz hello I’m having my own problems right now!
7. I’m tired and grumpy cuz I’m on the verge of sickness!

You have got to be kidding me!

I'm looking for a hotel in Rome that is by the airport, because our flight out is early and I don't want to pay 50 Euros for a taxi ride. So I'm starting my search on Travelocity and they have listed under a "good buy" the Hilton for $416 a night!!!!

Who the crap is that a "good buy" for?!?!

Waking up late, missing the bus, popping the lens out of your glasses and people being excessively stupid today is not a great way to start the day off!

Freeze this!

I am so sick and tired of the cold weather!! Coming from me that is major, I don’t usually care too much about the weather because I love Seattle’s weather, but damn it I’m tired of freezing every morning!!! This morning I had to put my earmuffs on so that my ears wouldn’t freeze and fall off!! My breath was coming out in puffs so thick you would have thought it was December rather than the last days of March, let me say that again last days of MARCH!! Gggrrr, I’m so glad I’m going to Las Vegas this weekend where it is warm but I just realized that is going to make coming home to freezing weather even worse!!!!

Really!?!

Seriously people come on it is January 19th!!! It is time to take down the damn Christmas lights! I know that it is a pain to put them up and you want to get the most out of them, but you put them up the week before Thanksgiving and I’m pretty sure that 2 months is enough time to enjoy them. So please get of your lazy ass and take them down or if that is too much work for the love of all that is holy stop turning them on!!!

I hate Saturday!

Today is sucking hardcore! Only in my world does a promotion mean that I have to work 1 weekend a month, when before I worked no weekends a month!! So this weekend is the first weekend I have to work and it has started out great! First off it is freezing outside and I had to wait for a bus for about 20 minutes out in the aforementioned freezing cold!! I was worried that my hands were going to freeze and fall off even though I was wearing gloves! When the bus finally arrives as I go to get on and swipe my bus pass I totally fall down!! I think that it was so cold outside that my legs froze and I couldn’t walk up stairs properly. So there I am totally on the ground of the bus my shoe has falling of and my toes are all twisted and I’m totally embarrassed cuz I just hardcore bit it, and the bus driver looks at me like nothing happened and doesn’t even say anything to me, not even “whoa nice fall”, or “are you alright” nothing! I pick up my pride and my body and I sit down and ride the rest of the way to work. As I get off I don’t fall flat on my face Thank God, I think my muscles warmed up! Now I’m at work and my toes on my left foot kind of sting and I’m not looking forward to the rest of the day. And to top of this great start to my “weekend” I hate my stupid new haircut! It is high school all over again and I have a stupid Dutch boy hair cut that I 100% didn’t ask for! I said I wanted about 2 inches cut off so that it dusted my shoulders, not 2 inches about my shoulders so that it dusts my earlobes!!! Plus I have to listen to a pissed off baby cry it's head off, I wonder if it fell getting on the bus too?!?!

Today in a nutshell

Today my problems are:

• I’m tired.
• I am grumpy.
• My hair is wacky; because I went to bed with wet hair then I woke up late and had no time to control it.
• I don’t like my outfit but it is one of the only things I have clean, so there ya go.
• I have an irrational feeling of wanting to punch people who say stupid things to me (okay I have that one a lot but today it is really strong)
• I only want to eat unhealthy things, but I’m eating healthy right now so I can’t (this could be the reason I’m grumpy).
• People are exceedingly stupid today.

Shut up snow!

Holy crap I went into a movie at 4:45 this evening and the weather was raining and sometimes a little snow. When I came out at 7pm there was about 2 inches of snow on the ground!! It has been snowing none stop I would guess that their is a least 4 inches out there now, there was a bus stuck on the hill for over 3 hours and about 9 different cars got stuck at different times this evening. I am not looking forward to going to work in the morning. Why couldn't it have snowed this weekend when I didn't have to go anywhere!

So today started out nice. It was snowing and my walk down the hill to catch the shuttle to work was beautiful. It had that lovely hushed quiet that you only get with snow. I didn't even mind to much that I had to wait 45 minutes to get a shuttle, I actually had to flag one down but that was okay because I was going to fly home to start Christmas vacation this evening.

My day started to go down south when I happened to check the weather report for Spokane and saw that they had a record snowfall of 17 inches in 24 hours. I started to get worried that my flight might get cancelled when I saw that most of the morning flights were indeed cancelled. I wasn't too worried yet because my flight wasn't until 9 that night and the storm was suppose to let up mid morning. Around 2pm my flight was listed as delayed an hour and I was okay with that it was fine arriving later than I expected. When I left work the flight was still the same so I was hopeful. I was able to take the work shuttle downtown only to discover that no buses were going up the hill and I would have to walk in the cold and wind. I decided to call and see how my flight was doing and was saddened to find out that it was cancelled. Then I was pissed to learn that the first flight that I could get on was Saturday afternoon at 3:10!!! Damn it I want to start Christmas now not 2 days from now!!! Now I'm trying to decided if I want to try my luck tomorrow at the airport and see if I can fly out standby. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Travis is happy because now I'm going to be on the same flight that he is. He also doesn't understand why I'm mad that I have to wait till Saturday. I planned to leave after work today so that I could have the most time back home during my favorite time of year, so it bums me out that I have to wait. Plus I'm not the most patient of people.

Let me just say that the walk back up the hill was not as enjoyable as the walk down was. 1. it wasn't nearly as pretty. 2. it was much colder, my face was frozen! 3. I was irritated I wasn't going to be going home.

I'm so irritated my flight was cancelled and now I can't start my vacation until late Saturday afternoon! The only person happy about this info is Maggie.

No school!?!?!????

Seriously, Seattle school district closed school today! It’s not snowing, the roads are dry, and it’s about 10 degrees warmer today than yesterday. What the hell did they close school for? I remember when I was in school it was only closed if there was a boat load of snow, major drifting, below zero temperatures or an ice storm! And no I didn’t have to walk up hill both ways with no shoes!

I just check and in ML it is 5 degrees and snowing and they are still going to school! Take that wimpy Seattle schools!!!

Hello rudeness!!

When you see a 4 person table with 1 person at it and you try to sit there and that person nicely tell you they are waiting for 2-3 more people to arrive what would your response be?

Say “Thank you, I will move to the table next to yours.” Then move to the table next door.
Say “Tough, you snooze you loose.” Sit down at the table anyway.
Say “That’s okay I have a friend coming to, we will all fit.” Sit down anyway with a snotty attitude.

Well this just happened to me and my friends today at lunch and the woman in question choose option #3. Now I would actually have a little more respect for her if she had went with # 1 or 2. Come on 6 people are not going to fit at a 4 top. Plus 1 foot away from her was another table that had 2 open spots she would have seriously had to scoot about 12 inches to the right!

Why would you sit at a four top table that you are told is going to be full and than say that you also had a friend coming and it will be fine we will all fit?!?

Carmel and I then switched tables when a table opened up. Now when Terry and Jim arrived we could sit at the same table.

I love amazon.com wishlists!! I love to be able to let people know exactly what I would enjoy receiving as a gift and I love being able to see what others would enjoy receiving as a gift! What I don't enjoy is that no one in my family has one!! I don't understand why they don't, I've only begged them to make one for the last 5 years!!! I can understand my Mom and Grandma not having one but come on the rest of you, that's right John, Nicole, Mike, Kristen and Eric I'm talking to you!!! Make a damn wishlist!!!!

How many trees are too many?

There is the house by my mom's that I HATE! Okay I HATE the yard, the man that lived there was insane, he kept adding trees and bushes to the middle of his yard with no rhyme or reason. Most people remove trees in the middle of their yard because it looks weird and makes mowing the yard a nightmare! So every time I would come home to visit this man had added more trees and bushes, it was ridiculous!! Late last year the man put his house on the market and I was so please because I knew whoever bought it would remove those stupid trees, I am pleased to announce that yes the trees are being removed!!! The downside to this, who would have known that there could be a downside to this, my mom’s neighbors have taken some of those damn trees and transplanted them on to there property line!!!! There is a line of Lilac bushes that separate their property and my mom's and they added like 3 more bushes(which match okay) then they added this Evergreen tree that looks exactly like a Christmas tree(and look utterly ridiculous)at the end of the line!!! I might know where we can get a cheap Christmas tree this Christmas!!!!

Chores...when do these end?

While I love visiting my family, I have decided that I like to do a sneak attack visit rather than a planned visit. When my family knows that I’m coming things tend to get saved till I get there. This time I got to help my mom wash the carpet, and sweep out my grandma’s garage, I HATE sweeping anything! I am glad that I can help out but I still like to bitch about it.

Riding the bus

When riding the bus:
1. Don't start talking to people when they clearly don't want to talk to you: how do you know this, if someone has headphones on and is reading, they don't want to talk to you. Yes, I'm talking to you weird lady who started yakking at me even though I was both reading and listen to music, then had the nerve to look bothered when I didn't talk back!!!
2. If you are 20-30 years older than someone don't hit on them! Dude who could have been my dad, ain't going to happen so leave me the hell alone! Plus don't kiss my hand!
3. Take a bath or shower.
4. If the bus is empty, don't freaking sit with me, sit in one of the 17 empty seats crazy lady, you are so lucky I didn't bump your ass on the floor.
5. To say this make me feel like my grandmother but, stop all the cussing youngins, you aren't impressing anyone and you make me want to wash your mouth out with soap.
